Ruffle Rosette Pillow

The color and texture of this pillow excites me! I would only need (want) one for my living room. It would be a nice pop of color and texture to add to my couch or chair. Happy Weekend everyone!

A crochet rug that makes you dizzy

This beautiful rug is made from salvaged fabric found in thrift stores that is then washed and crocheted into something so stunning! Talk about upcycling. This is a definite trash to treasure.

An Elegantly Understated necklace

In my opinion, the simplest things are the most beautiful. This necklace is a perfect example of this concept. It is so simple but so pretty all at the same time. It reminds me of my favorite ice cream flavor....VANILLA. People think I'm crazy for liking the simple things in life. But these things are classic and are tried and true and will never go out of style.

A pip berry wreath

I sooo love the texture of pip berries. They are so tiny but their effect is so dramatic. And this wreath is even the color of the ocean. It would be the perfect door decor for summer.

Checking in briefly

My poor blog has been so neglected lately. With the nicer weather around these parts, the blog has been thrown by the wayside. I went geo caching with my cousin today. A nice way to recharge those creative batteries is my excuse.

The "lightbulb" just went on...in the form of necklaces

I just got an interesting email from Etsy. They sent me a link to a conversation about how to put some heart and soul into your Etsy shop. Soul is that quality that tells a buyer your product was lovingly made by a real person who loves his or her art. The link talks about how to convey that soul into every aspect of your Etsy shop. Check it out here. I've been putting some "soul" into a new product line that will be going into my Etsy shop soon. Above is a little sample. Any advice on pricing, color suggestions, etc.? I would love to hear from you.

Seafoam green starfish

I love that this seafoam green starfish is made out of minky fabric. It is so soft. And this color is gender neutral so a little boy or a little girl would love having this on their bed. It is a good reminder of the beach.

More sea foam love

This is the cutest bird bowl. You could keep so many treasures on this little guy. Earrings, rings, soap in the bathroom, or a candle. The possibilities are endless. Or leave him as is and use him to decorate a shelf, table, mantle, etc. Oh, by the way, this cute little guy could be a girl. Who knows...

A seafoam green kind of theme

I just discovered I have a thing for the color sea foam green. This cupcake stand is how I discovered this passion. I will be featuring more of this color this week. I can't get enough of it right now.

An elegant wedding bouquet

As you can probably tell by now I have a minor obsession with flowers. This lovely bouquet caught my attention while on Etsy the other day. The amazing thing is these flowers aren't really flowers. They are made out of PAPER! Oh the talent of some people.

The most fascinating glass beads

I discovered this Etsy artist about a year ago. Her work simply astounds me. How can such a little bead hold my attention for so long? I've recently started thinking about making jewelry. My grandfather created jewelry and I think I'm starting to get the bug. Beads, rocks, marbles, and stones have always fascinated me. Jewelry making would be a nice creative outlet for my immense love of beads. I'll keep you posted.

An upcycled garden box

Spring in Utah is so fickle. One day we have 70 degree temps and the next we have 8-10 inches of snow. Because I was stuck inside this weekend, I decided to create a garden box that wouldn't need watering or sunlight.
My sister donated an old peach box she was getting rid of to the project. She is always giving me the best containers to up-cycle.
I bought a package of Basil dried naturals from Hobby Lobby (It looks like wheat to me).
Then I used some floral foam as the base and covered it with sheet moss (also found at Hobby Lobby).
Next, I just started sticking the "wheat" down into the floral foam, trying to evenly disperse it.

And there you have a no maintenance garden box to live in the house. I've had to resort to bringing the outside in to make up for all the snow outside.

Electric blue mess ball earrings

Can you believe these earrings? They fascinate my eye. I don't have my ears pierced but I sometimes come across certain earrings like these that almost make me wish I did. They are so chaotically organized, if that's possible. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Where I live it's a bit overcast. However, yesterday I got out in the perfect 70 degree sunny weather. That definitely makes up for today. You can find these earrings here.

The perfect day bag

I am out and about on the road a lot. Because of this fact, I have to take my life with me in a bag. I need my essentials always at hand. This would be the perfect solution. Find this bag here. It would also work well to pack a picnic lunch in and have an outing in the park, especially with the beautiful Spring weather we are finally having.
