Dream ensemble #2 for the hubby

This is another outfit I would dress my husband in if he would take any of my suggestions. He says these things just aren't manly enough for his tastes so I'm happy to feature them here. The overcoat, shirt, and shoes can all be found on Etsy.

Menswear I wish my husband would wear

My theme for the next few posts will be: Outfits I would love my husband to wear but know he will say, "I wouldn't be caught dead in that". He says that A LOT. We have extremely different styles so this will be my outlet to dress him the way I would choose. Does anyone else have a husband that refuses to listen to their wives? Vintage Typewriter meets Netbook

This Etsy find was actually for my Dad. He has this exact vintage typewriter and I was curious about how much he could get for it if he chose to sell it. He was surprised that he could get so much for a typewriter he had used in college. That is another fun aspect of Etsy. You can kind of make it into your own "Antiques Roadshow".

A classic vintage Dooney and Bourke Purse

I forgot to feature my last purse find. This is a vintage Dooney and Bourke Carrier Purse that I still own. I think I just might need to try and sell mine and see if I can make a little money off of my vintage 80's stuff. But I don't think I would be able to part with it. I still love it and I might decide to carry it again soon.

Zen Garden tranquility

My brother has just taken an interest in Zen Gardens. He has one he is always changing on his kitchen table. They are fascinating. Sand presents so many endless possibilities! This Etsy artist creates the most amazing Zen Garden creations. Check out her entire shop.

The everything bag

What a cute everything bag. It could be a diaper bag, laptop bag, beach bag etc. etc. It's so big you could probably turn it upside down and live in it as a tent. J/K :)

Rose change purse

A combo made in heaven! A flower and a purse have combined into this pretty little thing. What a perfect change purse. I think I'll feature a bigger purse tomorrow. I am always drawn to itty bitty little things. I need to start thinking bigger.

A snazzy little clutch

I have never carried a clutch like this. I'm thinking I just might need to start after seeing this one. I adore the fabric and the visual interest it creates. I might need to use something like this to put my sunglasses in since I usually have a ton of stuff that I need to tote around and I'm usually carrying something larger.

A pretty girly pouch

I decided this week I would take a little break from all the jewelry features I've been doing. Now I'm on to a girl's next best friend....purses and clutches. I love the floral print on this pouch! Perfect size to throw keys, cell phone, lip gloss, credit card (the bare essentials) and go.

Some mighty fine eye candy

I think I must have a major sweet tooth. I am always drawn to jewelry that looks like candy or gum. This necklace reminds me of the butterscotch candies I used to eat as a little kid. The artist has named it lemon meringue pie though. Either choice sounds tasty. A good thing with jewelry is there aren't any calories to worry about.

A spring time treasure

Have you seen anything cuter than this baby lamb print? This Etsy artist also prints this image as cards so you can send this little guy to brighten someone else's day too. He looks so soft. I just want to reach out and touch him. :) BAAAA!

I want to send out a HUGE bloggy shoutout to my Mom today. She is the best Mom I could have ever asked for. This is a picture of my sister's wedding. My mom is in the blue jumper. You're the best MOM!

A "green" Mother's Day gift idea

What a beautiful flower arrangement! It is made out of a vintage vase from 1973 and I love that this Etsy artist likes to upcycle. This artist is one of my all time FAVORITES. All of her stuff is so dynamic and intriguing. Check out her shop. You can never go wrong with flowers.

Mother's Day gift ideas

This week I will be featuring some Mother's Day gift ideas. My first idea is this boxwood and burlap wreath. What mother wouldn't love having this hanging on her door? My mom won't be getting anything like this from me this year though. I opted to make her gift. I'm giving her one of my light bulb necklaces that I featured a little while ago on this blog. What kinds of things would you love to get for Mother's Day? What are you giving for Mother's Day? I need ideas for next year. :)

A sunny yellow rose pillow

Check out the texture of this Rose Pillow. For some reason, I have never decorated my home with the color yellow. My sister, on the other hand, has a major obsession with yellow. She just bought a yellow Adirondack chair to sit on her front porch (so fun, bright, and happy). Yellow reminds me of the sun and warm summers. Here's hoping for no more snow this Spring.
